keepalived 1.1.15

I've backported keepalived from Debian Lenny to Etch (4.0). Both i386 and amd64 are available for download here. There was no need for changes from the original package, only a recompile.

I'm thinking about packaging feedbackd and use it together with keepalived to adjust the weight of realservers during runtime. I'm not sure if it's feasible, else I will write my own poor mans implementation.

  1. Hi,

we tried to compile feedbackd under amd64 etch but ran into problems. We couldn solve them, did you get this ?

  2. here is the error we got, configure runs perfectly

/usr/bin/ld: src/plugins/cpuload.o: relocation R_X86_64_32S against `a local symbol’ can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
src/plugins/cpuload.o: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
    make: *** [src/plugins/cpuload.so] Error 1

when commenting cpuload out, the next plugin will fail

  3. I never got round compiling and packaging feedbackd. I will try and have a look if I can at least compile it on amd64 this week. Then I will let you know.
